Transfer to Digital Pricing 

• Due to factors such as manufacturer quality, storage environments, and film or video tape and age, these media items can become brittle and delicate to handle. We handle 8mm films and video tapes with care, but cannot be held responsible for any damage that may during the transfer process. If materials are not transferrable due to conditions, they will be returned without being digitalized. We do not offer editing or visual enhancements, and cannot restore or repair film or video due to its sensitivity to age. By submitting an order, you agree that the materials do not violate any copyright laws and are not offensive or defamatory. We use Dropbox services for digital delivery and storage and are not responsible for the custom delivery URL and files shared by the customer. View Star Media will only share the URL with the customer at time of delivery. 

• The videos are converted to MP4 format with a resolution of 720p for optimal playback. However, the original quality and clarity of the footage cannot be improved beyond modern technology standards. While some color and contrast adjustments can be made during the transfer process, the age and limited technology of the film and video prevent them from being restored to high resolution.

• Pricing is by the film and video length.  If a film or video does not that the full content of its capacity, the price is the same as how long the physical length of the film or video according to the View Star Media pricing list. For example, if there is a 120-minute tape (2 hours in length) and the tape contains only 30 minutes of content, the pricing will be for 120 minutes. 

• We have the right to terminate any order at any time without notice and return the original items to the customer.

• ​When you place an Order, you confirm to View Star Media that: (a) you have not submitted any Materials that infringe any copyright laws; (b) any Materials submitted were either created by you, you have the right to allow View Star Media to perform services, or you have the permission of the copyright owner to duplicate the submitted Materials; and (c) no Materials submitted are defamatory, obscene, offensive, threatening, abusive, hateful or violate state or federal law or the rights of a party.

• By placing an order with View Star Media, you acknowledge that there is a risk in submitting your materials and that they may not be returned in the same condition

• ​The use and storage of Your Files by Third Party Services will be governed by their privacy policies and terms. 

• View Star Media users Dropbox's cloud storage for the delivery of digital transfer orders and a customer private Dropbox file will be accessible for 30 days after order completion. If more time is required, customers can request an extension in writing from View Star Media. If you prefer not to use Dropbox, please inform us before the transfer order is started, and we will arrange an alternative storage method. View Star Media may also choose a different digital delivery method. 

• View Star Media has a right to terminate any order at any time without notice and return the original items to the customer.

• ​By placing an Order and sending us your Materials, you accept full responsibility for your actions and that you are doing so solely at your own risk.

• ​IN NO EVENT WILL VIEW STAR MEDIA, OUR OFFICERS, THIRD PARTY VENDORS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY OR UNDER ANY EQUITABLE THEORY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ORDER, THE SERVICES, THE MATERIALS, THE DIGITIZED MATERIALS, AND ANY OTHER SERVICES OR PRODUCTS PROVIDED BY View Star Media,

• Force majeure - If any loss, damage, delay, or non-performance is a result of acts of God, or natural disaster or catastrophe; pandemic, virus, plague, disease, or quarantine; war, invasion, other hostilities (including acts of terrorism), rebellion, or any other materially disruptive military or political event; embargo or labor dispute; power failures or other disruptions to services and utilities on which View Star Media relies (including but not limited to, any outage in hosting services provided by a third-party host for View Star Media online services); or any other unforeseen and external occurrence for which View Star Media is not responsible and could not predict which is required for the performance of its obligations, then View Star Media will not be liable for any such loss, damage, delay, or non-performance of services to the full extent excused under applicable law.
